Dave Whiting

Dave has been involved in the finance and banking industry since commencing with GMAC in 1988. Since then he has worked for UDC Finance, ORIX NZ Ltd, and The National Bank in various positions.

Dave’s primary focus over the years has been the finance and leasing of plant, equipment and motor vehicles, and more recently property funding.

In 2002 he commenced his own company Whiting Financial Services Limited which was due to ongoing client demand. Whilst working in a Commercial role for National Bank, clients were continually ringing Dave seeking his independent advice regarding the finance and leasing options available to them through the varied finance and banking organisations.

The decision was made to go out on his own, and provide an independent finance and mortgage broking company. Although mortgage broking is well known in NZ, finance broking has traditionally been a small portion of the industry. This is now in a growth phase as client’s see the benefits that dealing with a broker can provide.

Speirs Finance provided an “Agency” for the greater Hutt Valley and Wairarapa area and they have continued to be the main provider of funds for the company. Other Finance companies that have now been included are Bank of Queensland, ORIX NZ, and Oxford.

Dave is a fully qualified member of the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association, and has access to the majority of the banks and property funders for commercial and residential loans.

The intention for Whiting Financial Services is to become the preferred supplier of all finance and banking requirements to their client base, to ensure that the process is hassle free, and that the client is receiving the appropriate solution to their requirements.

Alice Ridgen

Alice has joined the Whiting Financial team in 2008 after finishing her Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University.

Alice has a direct role to be the motor vehicle dealer and equipment supplier Relationship Manager, and also took over the role of Account Manager for the Wellington Allied Nationwide Finance Agency, previously looked after by Cameron Chote.

Alice is dedicated towards helping you come to the best possible finance solution that fits within your individual requirements.

Holly Wards

Holly joined Whiting Financial in 2010 after finishing up at college.

Julie Ebert

Julie commenced working with Dave Whiting in UDC Finance in 1989. She has taken some time off to look after her children, and in 2005 joined Dave in the role of client support and general office manager.

She is the main point of contact for Whiting Rentals and Whiting Finance.

Julie is committed to client service and her aim is to ensure that all clients requests are handled within a short time frame and that the client fully understands the response.
